Warkworth Social Hockey
Warkworth Social Hockey was established in 2015 when the Warkworth Hockey Turf was opened.
A small committed group of local hockey players run the committee who organise both summer and winter competitions for the locals in Warkworth and surrounding areas.
Our aim is to provide a fun, social but competitive competitions. We encourage everyone to come pick up a stick and join in a team no matter the experience.
We also now offer a junior summer competition for primary aged children which has been very successful.

Warkworth Hockey Club
The Warkworth Hockey Club currently has 2 teams, one women’s and one men’s.
These 2 teams compete in the North Harbour competition in the weekends and train in Warkworth during the week.

Mahurangi College Hockey
Mahurangi College runs 9 hockey teams ranging from Y7/8 boys and girls teams to Y9-13 Senior boys and girls teams. The club is expanding every year with the teams entering in the local North Harbour leagues for all participants.
Junior Hockey
Mahurangi Junior Hockey Club (MJHC) is a platform for primary aged hockey players from Warkworth Primary, Kaipara Flats School, Wellsford + Mangawhai, Matakana School, Snells Beach School, Horizon School and Leigh School. Games are held on Saturday mornings during terms 2 – 3 and comprise mixed teams of boys and girls across two grades. And our Funsticks programme is a great introduction to hockey for years 0 – 2. Each school has a club co-ordinator who works with the MJHC and are all listed on our website. Registrations for ALL schools are also completed on the MJHC website.
